On Friday, September 30, 2022, Black Authors & Readers Rock (BARR) will be hosting some special events at the Oxon Hill Branch Library, 6200 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD 20745, the day before their conference on October 1, 2022.

Here is the FULL Schedule for Friday, September 30, 2022.

2 to 3 pm – It’s Raining Men in Literature – come out to meet and mingle with award-winning authors Black Topp, Haikeem Stokes, Keith Kareem Williams, and Marquelle E. Redmond who will discuss their different genres and stories – superb writing skills.

3 to 4 pm – A Book Club Meeting with NAACP Image Award finalist and award-winning novelist and playwright, Nina Foxx, who will discuss her newest release “Island Secrets: A Queen’s Kiawah Story”, a good old-fashioned mystery set in the rich cultural history of Kiawah and the surrounding Low Country.

4 to 5:30 – A reception to welcome Daniel Black, BARR keynote speaker, and all the authors and readers of the 2022 Black Authors & Readers Rock Conference. This reception is being sponsored by the Friends of the Oxon Hill Branch Library.
